Accessibility Service Notice
Spacer uses Android's AccessibilityService API to monitor which apps are active on the student's device. This allows Spacer to detect when a student opens a non-essential or blocked app during school hours and display the focus-mode overlay — blocking access without uninstalling or permanently restricting the app.
This permission is used only while the student is within a designated school geofence and during configured school hours. It is never used to collect personal data, record calls, or access any content beyond the foreground app name. The service deactivates automatically when the student leaves the campus area.
Spacer is not intended as a general-purpose accessibility tool for people with disabilities. The AccessibilityService is used solely to enable school-authorized phone management in partnership with parents and school administrators.
