Aadhaar OVSE by SurePass Technologies is a demo application showcasing UIDAI's OVSE (Offline Verification Seeking Entity) protocol for secure Aadhaar identity verification.
WHAT IS OVSE?
OVSE is a protocol defined by UIDAI (Unique Identification Authority of India) that enables organizations to verify an individual's Aadhaar identity through the official Pehchaan app. The user authenticates via face recognition, and verified identity claims (name, date of birth, address, etc.) are securely shared with the requesting entity using signed SD-JWT credentials.
HOW IT WORKS
1. Initialize a verification session via SurePass API
2. Present a QR code or deep link to the user
3. User scans the QR or opens the link on their Android device
4. Pehchaan app launches and performs face authentication
5. Verified Aadhaar claims are returned securely to the requesting application
FEATURES
- Same-device verification via Android intent
- Cross-device verification via QR code
- Web link verification via shareable URL (WhatsApp, SMS, etc.)
- Real-time status polling
- Verified identity claims: name, DOB, gender, photo, address, mobile, email
- Secure JWT-based session management
- Face authentication via UIDAI's Pehchaan app
IMPORTANT NOTICE
This is a sample/demo application intended for developers and businesses evaluating Aadhaar OVSE integration. It demonstrates the end-to-end verification flow using the SurePass API.
- No personal data is stored or retained by this application
- All verification is performed through UIDAI's official Pehchaan app
