Your phone is always talking. Apps contact advertisers, data brokers, and tracker networks constantly — usually without your permission, almost always without your awareness. Susanoo shows you who.
Susanoo is a local privacy transparency tool. It runs a VPN on your own device (no servers, no account, no cloud), reads the name of each outbound connection, and classifies it against a signed ruleset of
known tracker companies. Tap any row to mute a company for 5 minutes, an hour, or a day.
━━━ HOW IT WORKS ━━━
Susanoo establishes a local VpnService tunnel (Android's standard privacy API) and forwards your traffic to the internet with one additional step: it reads the DNS query name and the TLS ClientHello SNI on
each connection to identify the company it's reaching. Nothing about the connection's contents is inspected; nothing about it is transmitted off-device.
Bypass list: banking and payments apps that refuse to run under any VPN can be exempted from the tunnel in two taps. Their traffic skips Susanoo entirely.
━━━ ABOUT THE NAME ━━━
Susanoo is the Shinto storm god. The logo is a single indigo dot with rings radiating outward — your phone, in a field of listeners.
