About this app

I made this app because I would sometimes have to throw away food that expired a day or two ago, but If only I knew that beforehand I would surely consume it in time and prevent having to waste money and food. This app helps solve this problem.

Tired on missing out on your food expiring and ending up wasting money ? With the help of this app you will be able to mark products with best until date and avoid discarding any products as long as you consume them in time. Just scan the barcode, scan the expiration date and that's it! By using this app you will be able to drastically reduce expiring food and save money. I like this app because it is simple and it's easy to add things. The search function isn't great. As an example I have various forms of chipotle peppers (dried, powdered, in adobo, hot sauces). When I search for "chipotle" I get several matches but none of them are actually chipotle items (the first three "matches" on the list are multivitamins, hair conditioner, Cumberland sauce). So it can be quite cumbersome to find something. It would be good if you could also search by brand.

I've decided to use this app out of all the pantry apps out there due to its simplicity, large item database, ease for adding new items to said database , and clean look. A minor esthetics I'm missing would be a category view. Also, unsure if it's a bug but I can't add anyone to my group. The link takes them to the app download section but nothing else happens.

At first it was a really handy app to use. Good clear layout and easy to register foods. However after adding some food items the app keeps crashing and crashing. I tried to uninstall and install again, but even that did not help. On another device the app started crashing too. It is very annoying that the app does not even open anymore. EDIT: I updated the app but it still closes whenever I open it... But thank you for trying to fix the problem within a short timespan!
