About this game

Dots and Boxes or Dots and Lines is a classic pen and paper game.

Starting with an empty grid of dots, players take turns, adding a single horizontal or vertical line between two unjoined adjacent dots.
A player who completes the fourth side of a 1×1 box earns one point and takes another turn. The game ends when no more lines can be placed. The winner of the game is the player with the most points.

It was first published in the 19th century by Édouard Lucas, who called it la pipopipette.

Very laggy, in my first game I was completing a run of boxes slowly, because it's so laggy and it still managed not to register one of my lines, but did register the next one, meaning the game was able to complete the rest of the boxes. I've no idea how such a simple game can be so slow to respond.

Hitting the back button will immediately delete the game you're in the middle of playing, which can mean a lot of lost progress on a 9x9 grid, and it's especially easy to do that on modern Android phones with gestures.
