If you’re traveling to Iceland, download this app before you even pick up the rental car. It could not be easier to use, especially as a foreigner, and I never had a single issue with it. What nobody really tells you is that in Iceland, if there’s a place to park, there’s a very good chance someone would like you to pay for it. Do I wish the parking itself were cheaper? Absolutely. A very poorly designed app. I'm very accustomed to loading new parking apps on my phone, but this one just never worked. After trying for an hour, I just gave up--after putting in my credit card info. I'm dreading how much I'll get charged for 30 minutes of parking at Solheimajokull glacier. I wish I had just skipped that site. After that, I made a point of using the machines rather than the app.

This app is an Icelandic national disgrace. Terrible interface. It's marginally easier than leaning the Icelandic language. It's incapable of identifying the parking lot you're in, even with precise location turned on. Twice i ended up paying twice for parking, and good luck getting a refund. but they'll send fines as if this garbage app is your fault.
