About this app

DocGrabber is the free app for certified document acquisition, designed for anyone who needs to document inspections, site conditions, objects, events, or damage with hard-to-recognize digital evidence.

DocGrabber complies with the international standard ISO/IEC 27037:2012 for digital forensics, which defines best practices for identifying, collecting, acquiring, and preserving digital evidence.

With DocGrabber, you can photograph documents, environments, vehicles, properties, condition of the premises, or damage and automatically generate a certified PDF document that certifies:
- the identity of the person capturing the document, by reading the NFC chip of the Electronic Identity Card (CIE)
- the exact date and time, via DigiCert RFC 3161 cryptographic timestamp
- geographic location, with anti-spoofing protection, verifiable via QR code
- the public IP address of the network used
- file integrity, via SHA-256 hash fingerprint

TARGET AUDIENCE
- Public Administration: agents, officials, and public officials who document inspections with legal validity, without storing data on their personal smartphone
- Professionals and Technicians: surveyors, engineers, and architects who perform surveys and condition reports
- Law Firms, Experts, and Technical Consultants: certified photographic documentation for legal and insurance proceedings
- Private and professional users: anyone who needs to certify the condition of an object, vehicle, property, event, or damage at a specific time and place, or simply want to add more professionalism to your photographic surveys, with a custom logo and QR code.

HOW IT WORKS
1. Take photos of documents, places, vehicles, or objects directly in the app.
2. The photos become a certified PDF with a footer and QR code, or, automatically and without user intervention, a single-page PDF with enhanced evidentiary value.
3. Identity, timestamp, GPS, public IP, and hash are automatically applied, with a certified PDF linked to the main document.
4. Send via email or certified email (SSL connection, no traces on the device) and/or save locally.

REGULATORY COMPLIANCE
DocGrabber provides the technical evidence (CIE identification, timestamp, GPS, public IP, SHA-256 hashing) relevant for the purposes of Article 2712 of the Italian Civil Code, Article 20, paragraph 1-bis, CAD (Legislative Decree 82/2005), and Article 111 of the Italian Civil Code. 41 eIDAS (EU Regulation 910/2014), in compliance with the data minimization principles of the GDPR and the AgID Guidelines on the creation of electronic documents. For maximum legal value, a digital signature (CAdES) can be subsequently applied using the CIE and CieSign app, or other qualified digital signature providers.
The assessment of the legal and evidentiary value of an electronic document, as with any evidence produced, is always left to the competent judicial authority; consult the Technical Manual in the app and, for specific cases, a lawyer.
