ARCHEM is the official app relating to the "Augmented Reality for Cultural Heritage in Southern Etruria" project, a project created with the aim of enhancing the cultural heritage of Southern Etruria thanks to the support of the Municipalities of Civitavecchia, Tolfa and Unindustria and supported by the Lazio Region as part of the POR FESR 2014-2020 funding, Cultural Heritage and Tourism.
It is a tool designed to accompany the visitor during their visit experience at the museums participating in the project, such as the Civic Museum of Tolfa and the archaeological site of the Taurine Baths of Civitavecchia.
The app is multilingual (Italian and English) and allows you to access the information content of the museums (contacts, opening hours and accessibility). By means of the guided tours presented in the app it will be possible to deepen the knowledge of the heritage with free content easily accessible through technologies such as Augmented Reality (available for compatible devices with ARCore), Machine Learning and QrCode scanning. In addition, the app interfaces with an indoor Beacon (Bluetooth Low Energy) localization system that allows you to locate the visitor along the visit path, offering him content dedicated to the various points of interest identified, guaranteeing an engaging user experience and maintaining a great ease of use for each user.
