About this app

Hoopy turns images and text into machine-embroidery files on the device.

Signing in is optional. Opening, resizing and converting existing embroidery files works without an account. Sign in with Apple (or Google) gives 3 free designs; no demo account is needed, any Apple ID works.

To try it: tap "From an image", pick any photo, continue to the hoop, then export.

In-app purchases: after the free designs, creating a design from new content needs a plan: hoopy_1mese and hoopy_12mesi (auto-renewable), hoopy_7giorni (non-renewing), or a top-up, hoopy_ricarica10 (consumable, for users with an active plan). Plans are on the plans page, with "Restore purchases" and links to the privacy policy and terms of use.

Buying a plan requires Sign in with Apple (or Google) because plans belong to an account, not a device: the monthly design quota is counted on our server and follows the user to all their devices, and the 7-day plan is a non-renewing subscription, which must be available on all of the user's devices. Sign in with Apple works with Hide My Email, and we store neither the email nor the name. Opening, viewing and converting files never requires an account.

Account deletion: Profile (top-right button in the projects list) > Delete my account.

Enhance with AI (1-month and 12-month plans only, for adults: the AI providers require users aged 18 and over, and the terms of use and the plan page say so): on the Prepare screen, the "Enhance with AI" card sends the chosen photo, resized and without EXIF data, through our server to OpenRouter, which has it redrawn by OpenAI's GPT Image model (only OpenAI: our request allows no other provider). Only if OpenAI has a technical failure (a server error or no answer) is the photo sent instead to the FLUX model by Black Forest Labs, again only through OpenRouter; a photo that OpenAI refuses is never sent to another company. The redrawn image comes back and stays on the device. Our server keeps neither image: only two counters per subscription for the limits. Before the first upload, the choice sheet shows right above the "Enhance" button which companies receive the photo, that Hoopy does not keep it, and a link to the privacy policy: tapping "Enhance" there is the permission (guideline 5.1.2(i)). It can be withdrawn in Profile > "Withdraw AI permission", and it is also withdrawn when the user signs out or deletes the account. Limits: 10 photos a month with the 1-month plan, 30 with the 12-month plan, 3 a day. Without either plan (no plan, or the 7-day plan) the card shows a lock and opens a page offering both plans.

Guideline 1.2 (AI content creation): users can't write a prompt; the instruction sent with the photo is fixed and the same for everyone, and the providers' own safety filters stay at their default level; a photo they refuse is not retried elsewhere, and the app asks the user to pick another one. The drawing is shown only to the user who made it, on their device: nothing is posted to the app or shared with other users. Any AI image can be reported as offensive from the "…" button next to "Pick one to embroider", and the report reaches our admin panel. From there we can block an account from Enhance with AI, and the block holds even if the account is deleted and created again with the same Apple or Google sign-in, or the subscription is restored on another account; a blocked user sees that the feature is no longer available. We review reports every day and act within 24 hours. The terms of use have zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users. The app uses App Attest and DeviceCheck only to protect the plan limits.
