About this app
Digital CB brings the spirit of CB radio to your smartphone. No antennas or licenses required: choose a callsign, tune to a channel, and talk to people within range.
HOW IT WORKS
• Set the range (from a few kilometers to 50 km): you only hear those within range.
• Talk one at a time, just like on the radio: hold down the PTT button to transmit, release it to listen.
• 40 channels, just like on real shacks. Channel 19 is the "street" channel, while channel 40 "ECHO TEST" lets you listen to your own voice to test the microphone.
• List of stations currently listening on the channel, with the approximate distance.
BACKGROUND LISTENING
With the "Listen with app closed" option, Digital CB stays in reception even when the screen is off, with a notification always visible and a button to turn off the radio.
PRIVACY
• No account, no email: just a name of your choice.
• Other users only see an approximate distance, never your location.
• Voice transmissions are not recorded or archived.
• Technical data is automatically deleted within 24 hours.
FREQUENCY CORRECTNESS
You can block or report a station. Use Digital CB sensibly and never in a way that distracts you while driving.
Digital CB is an independent app and is not a radio transceiver: communication occurs over the internet.
