About this app

The Crisis Unit has developed a new free APP for smartphones and tablets that integrates all the services of ViaggiareSicuri.it and DovesiamonelMondo.it
The new APP makes use of advanced global mapping resources and offers users traveling abroad the possibility of geolocating to receive notifications.
 
Main characteristics:
- 220 Country cards prepared by the Crisis Unit in connection with Italian Embassies and Consulates in the world
- Detailed information on safety, health risks, mobility, documentation and relevant regulations for those traveling abroad
- Interactive navigation on map, with new system of icons and warning boxes
- Recording of your trips abroad in just a few simple steps
- A wide range of notifications to inform and guide you: reporting of updates to your favorite countries, before and during the journey; transit notices in areas of caution; "safety check" system to confirm your safety following particularly serious events (acts of terrorism, political unrest, natural disasters, pandemics).
 
Continuous use of GPS in the background can greatly reduce battery life. It is however possible to disable the geolocation from the relevant application settings item.

I keep being logged out from the app. What's the point of it, if it's meant to provide a stable localisation service?

Still now I never use it and I hope neither in the future, defenetily is useful in case of emergency.

inutile e dannosa in caso di emergenza: 1,5 ora circa per riuscire ad entrare e non potete salvare il viaggio perché la casella "Motivazione viaggio" non funziona e vi dice sempre che mancano dei dati del viaggio per poterlo salvare. Registratevi su qualsiasi portale di un paese della UE, riceverete avvisi ed aiuto.
