This app is the result of the HO.W.ERGO prevention project. HOme Working ERGOnomics support system. Creation of a SW application dedicated to mobile devices for the dissemination and easy application of the ergonomic risk prevention principles for workers in home working conditions co-financed by INAIL Campania and the University of Naples Federico II.
The purpose of the HowErgo App is to support the worker, through the use of their smartphone, in surveying and evaluating the ergonomic conditions of the workstation under smart/home working.
HowErgo allows, in a simple and deductive way, to detect the characteristics of the workstation and compare them with ergonomic quality conditions based on recognized reference standards.
Following this comparison, HowErgo will also provide specific indications to the worker to adapt and improve their workstation in ergonomic terms. The data collected and the assessments carried out may then be stored and, possibly, shared with the Employer, who will be able to archive them and in turn analyze them as he deems appropriate, also with preventive purposes.
With HO.W.ERGO the worker, thanks to the possibility of controlling and adapting his workstation, will be able to acquire the ability to evaluate and improve his workplace remotely, but also develop greater awareness of the environmental quality conditions of his environment domestic, which derives from the possibility of personally identifying some of the main ergonomic and architectural risk factors, improving in a similar way, if desired, also the environmental quality of other areas of your home, and therefore the liveability conditions for your family.
