The objective of the present application is merely for informational purposes, namely to provide, as an indication and without claiming to be exhaustive, a map of the semi-automatic defibrillators (AEDs) present on the national territory.

To contact GESTEC for any reason (report the presence of defibrillators on the municipal territory and their precise geographical location, request information on how and what should contain the presence of defibrillators, information on dates and places where the next courses are held training in cardiopulmonary resuscitation and qualification to use the defibrillator and management of airway obstructions, according to the recent ILCOR Guidelines), just send an e-mail to: [e-mail]

Each defibrillator highlighted on the map through GPS coordinates is the result of the signaling of ordinary citizens, officials and / or maintenance managers of the defibrillators themselves, who wanted to make an effective contribution in order to make available information to anyone using the app and the operating status of the reported defibrillators.

In addition to the location, the information that is made known through the received reports, such as the expiry date of the battery and the plates, the precise and punctual physical location, in the case of defibrillators placed inside buildings, are available. availability and telephone number of the person in charge who allows access to the premises for the collection of the defibrillator.

The position of the defibrillators is indicated by a symbol having the following characteristics and their meaning:
- green check mark: defibrillator (AED) with plates and batteries that have not expired and with periodic functional verification (CEI 62-13 EN 60601-2-4) regularly performed;
- orange colored triangle with an exclamation mark in the center: defibrillator (AED) with plates and batteries that have not expired and with periodic functional verification (CEI 62-13 EN 60601-2-4) not carried out;
- red X sign: defibrillator (AED) with expired plates or batteries.

Using the app is really easy:
- once the app is started, the position of the device used and therefore of the observer is highlighted with the light blue icon;
- depending on the selected distance (green band at the top expressed in radius kilometers), the app highlights all the defibrillators present in the vicinity of the observer, according to the symbolism specified above (green check mark, orange triangle, X red);
- by clicking on each defibrillator, a window opens that returns essential information to the account of the defibrillator itself;
- with the aforementioned window (related to information) open, at the bottom right of the screen there are two icons: # a blue one (which allows the observer to see the shortest path to reach the defibrillator, the distance from the observer expressed in minutes or hours as well as in meters or kilometers, by clicking on the bottom left, on the blue "start" button, the observer will be guided by google maps to the location of the chosen defibrillator); # the other icon is the classic google maps icon (which will give the indication on the map and, eventually, will guide the observer after clicking on the blue button at the bottom left of the "indications" screen up to the position of the defibrillator select).
