About this app

Mago Classroom turns your classroom display into a live collaboration hub.

The teacher broadcasts their screen to every student device in the room while managing the lesson from a console.

Students can share their screens on the wall, annotate lesson snapshots, join class chat, and respond to live polls and quizzes. Everything runs on your local network for low latency and privacy.

Camera and Microphone
Mago Classroom uses the Camera and Microphone Foreground Service during an active lesson to let the teacher display their face as a Picture-in-Picture overlay on the shared classroom screen. The camera is activated only after an explicit action by the teacher and remains visible and perceptible while in use. This feature is essential for maintaining direct visual communication with students during presentations and remote or hybrid lessons. The teacher can disable the camera/microphone at any time or stop the lesson completely.

Screen Sharing / Media Projection
Mago Classroom uses the Media Projection Foreground Service to allow the teacher to share the classroom display with connected students in real time. Screen sharing starts only after the teacher selects “Start Lesson” and explicitly confirms the Android screen-capture permission. This is a core function of the app because it enables students to follow presentations, educational content, demonstrations, and other lesson activities from their devices. A persistent notification indicates that sharing is active, and the teacher can stop it at any time using “Stop Lesson.” If the service were delayed or interrupted, students would immediately lose access to the shared lesson content.

Remote Management & Control
Mago Classroom uses the Accessibility Service API to provide a Remote Control feature. This allows teachers and administrators to interact with the classroom display (this device) directly from a web-based console.

Why we use it: When the Remote Control feature is enabled, the app uses the Accessibility Service to receive and perform gestures (such as taps, swipes, and scrolls) sent from the teacher's web console. This allows the teacher to navigate the Mago Classroom app and manage the lesson from their own laptop or mobile device without needing to be physically in front of the classroom display.

Privacy and Data Safety:
• No Data Collection: The Accessibility Service is used solely to execute remote gestures. It does not collect, store, or transmit any personal information, nor does it monitor your data or other apps.
• Restricted Scope: The service only acts on the commands explicitly sent by the authorized teacher via the secure web console.
• User Consent: This service is entirely optional and must be manually enabled by the user in the Android Accessibility settings. It can be turned off at any time.
Collaborate, teach, and learn together in one interactive classroom.
