First of all, I think this app is fantastic. It's the Quora for my phone, and I'm honestly super excited to begin plotting my next story. Big issue I discovered was not being able to select text in the text editors. I hope that will be fixed soon. Also, saw in some of your replies that you're planning to keep this free. I commend you for that, and I'm not sure if you've given people an option to donate to you. If you haven't, then I think you should. This app is amazing and you deserve something for it. Looking forward to future updates!
Very useful app. I was pretty lucky to have stumbled upon this since I usually have my ideas all jumbled up and so I can't put them on paper quite right. Some suggestions: - Add a night mode function. - Add a crop function for adding covers. And while I'm at it, what's with the 'add description'? It doesn't really show the description anywhere besides whenever I'm editing it. Maybe I'm just missing something, idk
Overall, it's a solid app for getting ideas down. However, it isn't a very powerful text editor. For example, you can't select any amount of text in the editing area after you've created an item. It just won't work. I would love to be able to copy, cut, and paste all over the place within a single item rather than making a duplicate and deleting the parts I don't want. As soon as Novelist reaches the text editing standard that most other apps already have down, this will be my favorite way to write! The Google Drive backup is a huuuuge bonus.
I am new to this app so haven't used it extensively but I like it so far. Seems robust and fast with a logical setup that fits my way of working. It is a free app with no ads or in app purchases which is a big plus for me..
Looks nice and love some of its features but let us face it, at some point it becomes unmanageable in a cellphone. Sooner or later the user will want to either continue on a PC or work on both and so an EXPORT feature is SORELY missing. I liked Writers Owl ability to export as well as create a whole plain text manuscript formatted with Markdown. Without this once yo move your story elsewhere you are forced to retype everything. I dumped WriteOwl because it crashed and corrupted its own database (lost 2 weeks of brainstorming) because the programmer failed to gracefully handle an exception. With this export I would give it another shot and update the review. Keep up the good work.
I love this app! It helps me plan, organize, and write in a way that makes my stories filled to the brim with details. My characters isn't the typical black-white anymore either...I just...love this app! The only suggestion I have is a relationship-chart. Perhaps a tool where we can connect a character to another and see what their relationship are to each other. Other than that, I have no complain.
