About this app

Vera Connect is the app designed for Vera Assicurazioni customers who purchased AutopiùSicura or Commercial Vehicles in the Connect formula. Solutions that thanks to the support of telematics, allow more security, more protection and more prevention when driving.
The app, together with the technological tools supplied to the Customer (Vera Box to be installed by the Customer on the windscreen and a hidden box to be installed by a qualified technician in the case of Vera Protect), allows easy and quick access to emergency services available 24h and assistance.
In case of need, no more panic: just press the SOS button on Vera Box or the emergency button directly from the Vera Connect app, and the operations center will do the rest by sending help according to need. In the most serious cases where crashes over 2G should be detected, the operations center will call the Customer directly. In the event of non-response, the foreseen procedures will be activated.
Vera Connect allows you to monitor your driving style by giving the driver the opportunity to "observe to improve". For each trip the most relevant points of attention are made available (such as sudden accelerations, sudden braking and the strokes traveled exceeding the speed limits) from which the driver will be able to take useful cues to improve.
There are also several services that can be used free of charge by the customer:
    • find a car that lets you know the last position of the car, very useful when visiting new cities (the position detected is the last end of trip recorded in connection with the smartphone);
    • possibility to program trips having evidence of the forecasted weather on the entire selected route and the most dangerous road points (Ania black point);
    • the display of the merit index (numerical indicator that represents the driving style of the vehicle in a nutshell) with the details on the statistics for kilometers traveled per type of road and time slot, compliance with speed limits, accelerations and decelerations;
    • the certified position of the car is available on request;
    • the crash report, another document on demand, which allows the Client to assert its reasons with the other party in cases of conflicting interpretations of the accident (this service and the certified position are not available directly in the app but are rendered possible thanks to the interaction of Vera Connect with Vera Box).
With Vera Connect it is possible for more drivers to connect with their smartphone, thus having everyone the exclusive visibility of their travels and driving style, thus allowing each driver of the car to find ideas to improve themselves.
The totality of the services and advantages is if the smartphone has active bluetooth, geolocation and data. The technology used allows a reduced consumption of battery and data traffic (a few megabytes per month).
