About this app

This app is primarily intended for anyone using a password manager.

While most of the passwords are securely stored inside the vault, there is at least one piece that doesn't fit. The master password itself.
To solve this issue, password managers usually provide a recovery key in case one forgets their master password, but this just delegates the problem.

Where do you securely store your password manager recovery key?
I hope it's not in your vault - you wouldn't be able to access it when needed.
You may have it on paper somewhere at home, or maybe unencrypted on a storage device?
Anyway, none of those places are really secure, are they?

This is where PeerLock comes into play!
PeerLock allows you to split your recovery key into multiple random messages - henceforth called `shares`.
Simply distribute those shares to your peers!
They can later be used to reconstruct your recovery key.
But be wary, you must specify the number of shares required to reconstruct your recovery key in advance.
If the number is too high, you may find yourself disappointed if too many of your peers lost their shares.
If the number is too low, your peers may collaborate behind your back to reconstruct the secret themselves.

Are you ready to secure your password manager recovery mechanism and to protect your digital identity?
