About this app

Electronic version of the hymnal of the Czech and Moravian dioceses, including both supplements.
The application contains texts and notes of individual prayers and songs.

The application supports full-text search, changing the font type (serif/sans-serif), automatic sound switching off, night mode, the ability to prevent automatic screen switching off, saving a song or prayer to bookmarks or favorites, and changing the size of the displayed text.

The electronic hymnal is an electronic copy of the book edition of the Hymnal - the joint hymnal of the Czech and Moravian dioceses, including both its supplements - Olomouc and Hradec Králové, according to its latest edition.

The aim is not to replace the paper form of the Hymnal, but to provide a suitable supplement where the paper form is not available.

The Hymnal is published in book form by the Catholic Weekly, and can be purchased in bookstores selling Catholic literature, such as the Donum, Cesta, or Paulínek stores.

The project is being created under the auspices of the website Liturgie.cz and with the permission of the Czech Bishops' Conference. Further information on the status and development of the project can be found on the blog about the electronic hymnal.

Some of the texts and musical transcriptions were taken from the website http://www.kancional.cz with permission, and the rest were transcribed by the author of the mobile application.
Any typos were corrected against the printed versions of the individual types of hymnal in their latest edition.

The application can be run on mobile devices and tablets with the Android operating system in the minimum version Lollipop (5.0).

Development is still underway.
