Your eye is a poor level. A frame that looks fine on the wall can be a degree out, and a degree is exactly the amount you keep noticing afterwards.
HangTrue reads the angle straight off a photo.
1. Stand square to the wall and photograph the edge you are checking: a frame, a shelf, a blind, a door frame, a wallpaper seam.
2. HangTrue finds the straight edges in the shot and measures them, then draws the line it measured over your photo against a dashed true reference.
3. You get a verdict - true (under 0.3 degrees), slightly out (0.3-1.0) or visibly crooked (over 1.0) - and the angle to two decimal places.
THE CORRECTION IN MILLIMETRES
A number of degrees does not tell you what to do with your hands. Set how wide the object is, anywhere from 100 mm to 2400 mm, and HangTrue converts the angle into a distance: "About 34 mm of correction across 600 mm." It also tells you which end sits low, so you know whether to raise the right or drop the left.
LEVEL OR PLUMB
Switch reference whenever you like. Check shelves, pictures and blinds against the horizontal; check door frames, posts and wallpaper seams against the vertical.
NOTHING LEAVES YOUR PHONE

BEST RESULTS
HangTrue measures the angle in the photograph, so stand square to the wall rather than off to one side, and let one long, clearly visible edge fill the frame.
