About this app

This tool visualizes batted balls and pitches using physics.

For classroom learning, meetings, and solo study before bed.

■ Answers to these questions with diagrams:

・Why does shifting the point of contact by just 1cm below the center double the distance?

・Does swinging with all your might make the ball fly further? (The answer is "NO")

・What's changed in the new standard metal bats?

・Do fastballs really rise?

・Do balls with high spin rates always curve more?

・How much do headwinds, temperature, and humidity affect the game?

・What's the difference between playing in a gymnasium and outdoors?

■ Batter

By moving the point of contact (up/down), bat position, swing speed, timing, and uppercut angle,
the bat's trajectory is instantly visualized with diagrams.

You can see, not just with numbers, how shifting the point of contact by just 1cm doubles the distance,
and how no matter how much force you use, hitting the ball squarely will not result in a home run.

You can switch between full swings and bunting. A bunt involves calculating "how far it will roll before stopping."

■ Pitcher

By adjusting ball speed, spin rate, spin axis, spin efficiency, height, and arm height,
the trajectory and amount of movement until it reaches home plate can be determined.

The amount of movement is the difference from "where the ball would have landed if it had been thrown with the same motion but without spin."

Since this uses the same definition as measuring instruments, it can be compared with the instrument's readings.

Therefore, two things can be understood:
First, a fastball doesn't rise. It just drops less.
Second, rotation around the direction of travel (gyro)
No matter how high the spin rate, the ball won't curve.

■ Equipment and Conditions Used

• Hardball / Softball (M-size) / Softball (J-size) (Youth Baseball)

• Wooden / Metal (Old Standard) / Metal (New Standard, Low Rebound)

• Infield Dirt / Grass

• Temperature, Humidity, Altitude, Wind, Wetness

• Outdoor / Gymnasium

■ Paid Features

• Matchup — Create tomorrow's opposing pitcher and think about how to hit them

• RBI Map — Complete a round-robin RBI analysis to see target areas as a whole

• Bat Comparison — Line up bats under the same conditions

• Your School's Ballpark — Adjust the dimensions of the left and right field and center field to match your own ballpark

• Sharing Conditions — Show the same screen to team members

The explanations, notes, formulas, and coefficients used are all free of charge.

The section on "why" is not closed off.

■ About the Numerical Values

Mass and dimensions are based on official standards.

The coefficients for restitution, air resistance, friction, etc., are approximate values based on the general range of publicly available literature, or values adjusted to match actual measurements.

Values without sources are clearly indicated as "No Source" or "Undetermined" within the app. Please read the differences and trends when the conditions are changed, rather than the numerical values themselves.

All formulas used are also included within the app.

It can be read in conjunction with physics lessons.

■ This is not instruction

This is a tool to show "how it will fly under these conditions."

It is not instruction on form, such as "if you swing like this, it will fly."

Imitating the displayed movements directly may lead to injury.

It is intended for use by coaches to review and explain the results to players.

■ No Data Collection

We do not collect any personal information, including names, email addresses, device identifiers, or location information.

No account is required.

The entered conditions are calculated only within the device and are not sent externally.
