About this app

This popular kanji learning app has been featured in educational magazines, books, board of education websites, and many review sites.
With this single app, you can study all the kanji taught over six years of elementary school.
In addition to kanji dictation, questions cover
kanji readings, Advanced 1 (dictation), and Advanced 2 (four-character idioms, synonyms, antonyms, and homonyms),
with a total of 2,992 questions.

Menus are divided by grade level, with five questions per session.
Achieving a perfect score earns you a "Good Job" or "Proficiency" mark.
It's designed to be extremely simple and easy to use,
enhancing long-term enjoyment.

In addition, many of the questions are designed to help you remember the meaning of each kanji and increase your vocabulary.

Kanji dictation questions are answered by hand. Simply write the kanji on the screen with your finger, and it will automatically be recognized.
The stroke order for each kanji is also displayed when you press the answer button. Practice kanji writing by tracing.

You can fine-tune the timing (wait time) for kanji dictation questions and the strictness of the kanji grading criteria in the app's settings screen.

The most helpful kanji app in android that I've used so far! The UI is easy to understand, and it really does help me remember Kanji- and in a fun way at that. You'd definitely need a dictionary at hand though since the sample sentences don't have translations. But then again, this is catered towards Japanese grade schoolers, not language learners lol Overall, I'd recommend this if you already have a basic grasp on the language, and want to brush up on kanji!!

I have tried many kanji apps, this one is my favourite. The missing kanji is given with context. So you can know the combinations. It is more lenient that others in terms of line detection which is a plus if you are in a bus or something. The only negative thing is there is no drawings to illustrate the context, so if you don't know what the given sentence means, you just have to wing it or learn the answer. Overall score: 9/10

Have a galaxy note device? This is the best app then for kanji practice. I always keep this installed, and on the train always go through a few drills. It gives you practice through vocabulary, not just solitary kanji repetitions. This has helped me pick up some phrases by asking my Japanese friends during conversations what these words mean. From what most of the feedback I've gotten, they've pretty much said the words are very common vocabulary. Kanji drills + vocabulary = great!
