F3 Control is an app that enables wireless control of the ZOOM F3 Field Recorder.
An Android device can be used as a remote control for an F3.
In addition to the fundamental operations of starting/stopping recording/playback and searching forward/backward, this app can be used to add marks and to set various parameters.
The app can also be used to check the waveforms of input signals and the remaining battery charge as well as to monitor the remaining recording time.
Moreover, you can input text to change the file name used for recorded files.

Note: A BTA-1 wireless adapter is necessary to operate an F3 with F3 Control.

Ratings and reviews

Neat idea but at least with my device it struggles to maintain connection to the recorder. Once the connection drops, I can't reconnect in most settings where I can't walk over to the device to initiate the connection and also don't want to disrupt the recording.

Wasn't sure how I would benefit from it, but the app allowed me to record in the rain by keeping the F3 under my rain coat and using my phone. I hope in the future they will allow split screening.

It's very handy. It connects instantly and it works pretty well. You can't control all of the settings, but you can control most of them.
