About this game

This game evokes a feeling of "I used to play games like this a long time ago."

It's a side-scrolling 2D mining game. You control a miner with a shovel, aiming for treasure hidden 300 levels underground.

- Directional keys / On-screen D-pad: Move (no jumping). Up/down keys change the shovel's direction.

- Spacebar / Dig button (can be held down): Dig/attack in the direction you're facing.

- Digging/attacking costs -1 health (maximum 250). Health fully recovers when you stand on the surface.

- Treasure = +10 points, +10 points for each level descended.

- After collecting all the treasure on the 301st level, you return to the surface with your score intact.

In subsequent playthroughs, the enemy spawn rate increases, and your score resets to its original level.

- You will be forcibly returned to the surface and your score will be reset if any of the following occur (your score before being returned is recorded in History):

- Contact with an enemy (Cave Imp)

- Falling more than 6 layers (up to 5 layers is safe)

- Pressing the "Go to Surface" button (or **G** key) — To prevent accidental taps, your score will be reset.

- You cannot dig any further if your health runs out. Please restart with "Go to Surface".

- Only the player's field of view (the area where the headlight reaches and is not obstructed by walls) is displayed on the screen.

That's all.
