Pink noise is a sound with frequency characteristics similar to natural sounds such as rain and waterfalls. It is generally known for reducing ambient noise and supporting restful sleep and concentration, and is gaining attention as background music for studying, meditation, and teleworking. It can also generate white noise, which is often used to lull babies to sleep.
This app has the following features to balance a comfortable user experience with reduced device load:
● Efficient noise generation: Reduces device processing load by generating and repeating a short amount of noise upon startup.
● Selectable sample rate: Supports sample rate switching to adjust sound quality and battery consumption.
● Flexible sound quality adjustment: Stepless adjustment to your preferred sound quality from white noise to pink noise using the seek bar.
● Ambient sound presets: In addition to pink noise, white noise, and brown noise, it includes ambient sounds reminiscent of rain, waves, and drafts, as well as a MASK preset suitable for masking conversational audio. The sounds that evoke water and wind are also recommended for creating a cool summer atmosphere. The sound of a draft can be used to create scenes regardless of the season, such as the long autumn nights or the quiet of winter. You can switch to your preferred ambient sound with a single button.
● MASK Preset: Plays sounds that are mindful of the frequency range involved in hearing conversations, and can be used to mask meeting audio or everyday noises when you are bothered by them while teleworking.
● Noise Controller: Supports detailed customization with filters and LFOs.
- Frequency Band Filter (BPF, etc.): Freely adjust the sound quality from the high-pitched "whistling" sound of a draft to the low-pitched "rumble."
- Volume Fluctuation (LFO): Freely create periodic changes in sound, such as the speed and strength of waves crashing.
● Simple Design: Simple and intuitive UI and background playback support make it ideal for long-term use.
● Timer Mode: Timer from 5 minutes to 3 hours. Note that the fade-out mode switch can be used to avoid disturbing sleep.
● 40Hz Mix Mode: 40Hz waves are a frequency that has been attracting attention in recent years, and this app is equipped with a 40Hz wave mix mode, and the mix ratio can be freely adjusted. *40Hz is a very low frequency, so it may not play correctly depending on the performance of your smartphone's speaker. If you can't hear it, try adjusting the waveform to a square wave or similar; this should make it audible.
