"MynaApp," provided by the Digital Agency, is an application that enables identity verification using My Number Card and the addition of My Number Card functionality to smartphones.
Starting in the summer of 2026, the "Mynaportal App" was updated and integrated with the features of the "Digital Identification App" and is now offered as "MynaApp.”

■ Key Features
1. Identity Verification and Information Linkage with My Number Card
Users can perform authentication and signing using My Number Card (physical card and smartphone), as well as share information such as name, for services provided by government agencies and private businesses.

2. Setting Up Smartphone My Number Card
Users can set up "electronic certificate on Android smartphones," which allows them to carry the functionality of their My Number Card within their Android smartphone.

3. Receiving Push Notifications of Notices from Government Agencies
Users can receive push notifications for notices from government agencies and other organizations delivered to Mynaportal.

It doesn't work. simple as that. my phone fails to read my card which is valid and I get an error message telling me to go to my Ward office to get a new card issued, which of course cost money and takes time. I live overseas so it's not as if I'm going to catch an airliner, and go to Japan just to get a my number card to be issued, which takes about 3 weeks anyway. ridiculous!

Some translations are poorly done. It follows your device's UI language so there's no way to see the correct Japanese terms if your phone's language isn't in English. After scanning my card and entering my PIN, the screen tries to load a page in a webview, flickers, and fails to load the page. It's unfortunate that we have to entrust our personal information to companies like these.
