About this app

Elecraft is a small controller of KX3.
It is a beta version.

KX3Mate is an application to control a transceiver for the amateur radio US Jer Kraft KX3. You can use it by starting the USB On-To-Go to connect the KXUSB that comes with the KX3 through the OTG USB cable to the Android terminal corresponding to the (USB OTG) KX3Mate.
Easily is possible to operate the CW and RTTY / PSK in KX3Mate and KX3, in the digital mode can be logged to display the decoded data. You can send pre-edited a message with a single touch for each mode. In addition or macro buttons that can be freely set, and buttons for multiple action is required function macro has been preset are available, you can call with a single touch. ** QSO log:
- Saves call sign, RST, mode, frequency, the OP, etc. to the SD card.

** decode automatic log:
- Automatically save the decoded text to the SD card.

* Limitations
- There is an application in connecting or disconnecting the USB cable to crash.
- it may crash at the time of switching the screen.
- it may crash when the application terminates.

Ratings and reviews

Works well with KX2. More versatile and configurable than KX3 Companion. Only one drawback: cannot transmit while typing. Need to write complete message before pressing send (unlike KX3 Companion). I hope developer will fix this and the app will be perfect. Reviewed in 2017 and again today after update. Presume further development in progress because the Play website screen is different from the app. G4BTN

Simple. Works. Simple. Took me about 90 seconds to figure out how to use it. I SOTA, POTA and travel with my KX3, the USB cable it came with, a $5 dongle (OTG) and my Pixel 3. Perfect. It even sends CW so you can work CW and, via the rigs internal firmware, RTTY and PSK. Like I typed, simple.

MANUAL FILE PERMISSIONS REQIIRED! this app does work but you must grant file access manually by going in to the app properties and granting file access there. The app does not ask and just errors when trying to write a file otherwise
