Phone Guardian: Security watches the five doors scammers use — calls, sites, SMS links, apps and the device itself — all inside your phone. Install it, tap "Start", and you're done. No difficult setup.

■ What it does
- Stops suspicious calls: blocks calls from overseas and calls faking numbers that do not exist, before your phone rings. People in your contacts always get through.
- Stops dangerous sites: blocks connections to scam sites, fake warnings and phishing pages before they open.
- Checks SMS links: paste a message as it is, and the app finds and checks the links inside. It does not read your messages.
- Inspects your apps: checks whether a remote-control app or a fake copy of a real app is installed.
- Inspects your device: checks the condition of the phone itself.

■ This app uses VpnService (a local VPN) to watch for dangerous sites
To stop connections to dangerous sites before they open, this app uses a local VPN based on Android's official VpnService, entirely inside your device. VpnService is required because it is the mechanism that lets the app check, inside your phone, the name lookups made by any browser or app, and stop the ones that lead to dangerous sites. The app never connects to an outside VPN server, your traffic never leaves your device through this app, and it never collects or sends the contents of your traffic anywhere. You can stop the guard at any time with the "Stop" button.
