About this app

"DepthMaker" is an application that converts 2D photos into 3D and displays them in various 3D formats. It can also save 3D converted SBS images and send them to other 3D applications such as 3DSteroid Pro. It is also possible to convert 2D to 3D in a batch by folder.

Main Features
1. Converts specified 2D images to 3D images and displays them in various 3D formats such as SBS, various anaglyph formats, RGBD formats, etc.
2. Depth of converted 3D image can be adjusted with a slider
3. 2D images in a folder can be converted and displayed in 3D one after another by pressing 'next' button.
4. 2D images in a folder can be converted from 2D to 3D in a batch.
5. 3D conversion display from RGBD (2D + depth) image
6. 3D display is possible with USB DP Alt mode compatible models by connecting to VR glasses, etc.

Ratings and reviews

Works amazingly well! Far exceeded any expectations that I had, and is able to handle very large image files. The only thing I'm not a fan of is the auto save function that saves an RBGD file for every image you open, that you then have to delete manually from the gallery. But that would be nit-picking at an app that works incredibly well. 5 stars well deserved!

I love this app for masking stereo photos. I have also tried the windows version by the same developer. It's strange that given the same base image the windows version of the app doesn't output an image that is as high in quality as the android app. By that I mean I use the exact same base photo file, and the windows version exports a file half the size in data, and it looks noticeably not quite as good as the android version. I would be interested to have the developer explain the difference

this is impressive - thanks a lot! I tried something similar with a comfyUI pipeline that someone presented on YouTube. that worked well, too. but this here is way more comfortable. I'm curious: what algorithms/models are used to estimate the distances and to fill the missing areas for the generated second perspective?

What’s new

To prevent crashes when processing large images, the default resize value has been set to 2000 pixels. The resize value can be changed in the app settings.
Supports 16 KB memory page size.
Targeted for Android 16 (API level 36).
