Phonebook Navigator is a free app that displays information retrieved from the app, even for numbers not registered on your smartphone. Its vast amount of information provides highly accurate detection, even compared to carrier-provided spam call blocking apps (paid), displaying not only spam calls but also information from businesses and public institutions. (The app detects over 200 million calls per month.)
The SMS filtering feature, which prevents phishing scams, is also available free of charge. Phonebook Navigator's SMS filtering function is highly effective in preventing information leaks and is used by many government agencies and corporations. (We also work with prefectural police and local governments.)

About the app's core functionality

The Telephone Navigation app provides the "Caller ID, Spam Detection, and Spam Blocking" features.

Data 1 through 4 above are sent to the Telephone Navigation server (telnavi.jp).
*All sent information is encrypted using SSL.
*After a call ends, you can manually send the caller's phone number, review information, and spam rating to the Telephone Navigation server to provide the app and service's essential functions. This information is shared with third parties other than the app provider. (SMS rating information is not disclosed.)

[How to disable pop-ups (foreground service)]
You can disable pop-ups by turning off both "Show information when receiving a call" and "Show information when making a call" in the settings screen. This will stop the foreground service.

Important Information

●Incoming Call Display Does Not Work with Data Calls
Calls made over data communication are not made over a telephone line, so the incoming call display will not work. Rakuten Link and MVNO plans include services that allow voice calls over data communication, but in these cases, the incoming call display will not work. Please confirm that your SIM contract plan uses a "telephone line" for calls (support cannot answer questions regarding SIM plans).


● About the Safety of the Phonebook Navigation App [Important]
The Phonebook Navigation app is designed to "not identify calls as spam" when they come from phone numbers stored in the device's phonebook (contacts). (This is because phone numbers stored in the contacts are considered important contacts for the user.) To achieve this, the app accesses the phonebook (contacts) for verification purposes only when a call comes in. (Used only on the device.)

Google Play's app review process is currently very strict, with particularly strict rules regarding the handling of privacy data.
Apps that request unnecessary permissions or do not properly handle personal information within the app will not pass review and will not be released. The Phonebook Navigation app is released in compliance with the Google Play Developer Policy.
