My experience with this in Japan was great, but the transit map in pacific northwest is very very wrong. The max doesn't get anywhere near the coast. That Mal needs to be reduced 75% to properly capture Oregons transit map in the Portland area.

This used to be a fantastic app (no ads, easy to use, user intuitive). Now it's packed with ads, is not as easy-to-use by separating maps in to smaller regions that now load each time they're changed (solely to cram more ads in) and constantly requesting location info. You also used to be able to download an offline copy just in case you were in a tight spot abroad. Bad app, don't recommend.

Looks nice, but wasn't usable... choosing a starting point can only be 'current location' or dropping a pin on the map, can't type one?? Trying to pan the map to drop a pin resulted in cursor spins, whitescreen, or downloading a different region - something I was warned could only be switched the first few days after install unless I paid. So planning a route from Shibuya to Kyoto took forever with several app shutdowns/restarts before I gave up. Looks awesome if I could ever get it to work.
