WabiFace HAMON is a Japanese minimal watch face where the time is kept by water.

💧 A DROP, ONCE A MINUTE
At the top of every minute a drop lands on the dial and five ink rings spread out of it, each fainter than the one before. Around 49 seconds the last ring fades and the water goes still — and that stillness is how you see the minute turn. The rings are drawn out of round and each one drifts at its own rate, so the ripple never reads as a machine.

🎨 SIX PAPERS
One dry sumi stroke on washi, and six grounds to lay it on: Ivory, Primary, Indigo, Vermilion, Moss and Night. Indigo and Night are dark papers, so the hands, the cap and the ripple all change to ivory ink to stay readable.

🕙 HANDS, OR A COLUMN
Keep the baton hands and the vermilion sweep second, or switch to a digital column set the way Japanese sets type: the hour above the minute, with AM/PM and the running seconds beside them. The seconds are inked in the same vermilion as the second hand. 12 or 24 hour follows your watch.

⌚ COMPLICATIONS
Two slots, each sitting on a disc of washi paper so its content stays readable on all six grounds. Steps and battery unless you choose otherwise. Four sizes including off, and five ink colours: Ink, Vermilion, Indigo, Ochre and Moss.

🌙 AMBIENT MODE
Always-on display shows hollow outline hands and dim markers on black — about two percent of the pixels lit — so the day lasts.

WabiFace is a collection of watch faces celebrating Japanese aesthetics — wabi-sabi, mono no aware, and the dignified passage of time.

Requires Wear OS 5 or later. Compatible with Pixel Watch, Galaxy Watch, and other Wear OS 5+ smartwatches.
