About this app

This app uses AR (Augmented Reality) technology to make the Yamato Museum more fun and active.

"Yamato Museum AR" explains the structure and movement of the main body of the battleship "Yamato" and the Type 0 Observation Machine with CG animation and document screens to deepen your understanding.
Furthermore, if you point your smartphone at Kure Bay, a huge battleship "Yamato" will appear. Please experience the powerful appearance.


■ How to use
・When starting the app, specify the voice on/off and language (Japanese, English, Traditional, Korean). (Voice on/off and language can be changed from the side menu even after launching the app.)

・ 1/10 There are 5 AR spots around the battleship "Yamato".
Start "Yamato Museum AR" and point your smartphone at the marker.
・Please refer to the help screen (“?” icon) for how to operate the screen.


■ Recommended environment
We recommend that you use this application on an "ARCore" compatible device (Android 13 or later).

・Please use this app by connecting to the in-house WiFi.
・The following data is acquired during use: date, location of use, OS type, device name, device ID, language used
