Enabled real time Pesalink transactions that allow transfer of funds from your HFC Whizz account into any bank account or mobile number in the country.

Payments:
Facilitate utility payments at your convenience, with unique transaction references for your tracking and planning.
Receive Automated bill reminders with accurate amounts through SMS. This is also visible on the app.
Pay to a mobile money merchant till, paybill number or at a Point of Sale (POS) directly from your HFC Whizz app. You will receive a unique transaction reference instantly that you can present to the biller in real time for verification.
HFC Whizz enable you to reload your phone airtime for any mobile network in Kenya.


Loan Services:
HFC Whizz enables you to apply for instant loans which are disbursed into your HFC Whizz account. Borrow from KES 1,000 up to KES 250,000

Flexible tenures:

KES 1,000 – 29,999 → Tenure up to 1 month

KES 30,000 and above → Tenure of 1 month or 3 months

Maximum APR: 9.061% per annum

Interest is deducted upfront, with no hidden fees.
Representative Loan Example

If you borrow KES 1,000 for 1 month at an APR of 9.061%, the total cost is KES 90.61 (including VAT and excise duty).

Amount disbursed to your account: KES 909.40
Amount to repay after 1 month: KES 1,000.

We use unique data driven scoring algorithms to offer purpose led lending, for instance, school fees loans. This is through information that you provide with consent e.g. Financial related SMS.
Our products and pricing of services are all regulated by the Central Bank of Kenya (CBK). The CBK license has been shared separately on the console.

When you download HFC Whizz, we will ask to scan some SMS information to verify your identity and creditworthiness. We are regulated by the Central Bank of Kenya and abide by the Prudential Guidelines, Consumer Protection Act and all other laws in Kenya that relate to Banking services and customer privacy.
We also abide by global data protection practises.

HFC Whizz offers banking and non- collateral lending services to consumers. We are governed by the Prudential guidelines, Consumer Protection act, The Banking Act, Finance Act and all other financial laws in Kenya.

To provide these services seamlessly, we require through customer consent, to access some information on their device. SMS history for credit assessment, budgeting and tracking expenses. Call log for fraud detection and protection.

I’ve been using Whizz for a while now and the experience is incredibly seamless. Transactions are lightning-fast, which is exactly what I need on the go. I especially like the 'Budget ' feature it makes it so easy to track my spending and stay on top of my finances at a glance. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a modern digital bank.

The app is generally good but tends to hang or freeze sometimes, which can be annoying. I’d love to see a fix for that in future updates. Also, under the Target Saving section, it would be helpful to have an option to delete or archive completed targets. Additionally, for better security and ease of use, implementing fingerprint authentication for transactions instead of passwords would be a great improvement. Overall, it’s a solid app with room for improvement.

28.01.2026 Absolutely useless WhatsApp Chat bot. Simple requests are met with the same response that has NOTHING to do with the request. Why would I want to visit a physical branch in 2026? I need to close my account. 28.05.2024 The app hangs. I get SMS's about transactions hours later or sometimes not at all. Terrible alternative to USSD option which is also consistently down. 👎🏾
