Listening Classroom is an educational app that delivers the teacher's explanations via audio and subtitles in the language selected by the student.
Teachers can create a classroom and share a participation code or QR code. Students can join the class immediately by selecting their name or nickname and the language they wish to listen to. No registration is required for students to participate in the class.
• Deliver the teacher's class in multiple languages
Select the language the teacher will speak in and start interpreting. You can have a class in up to five translated languages simultaneously within a single classroom.
• Listen in your own language and check subtitles
You can choose from Korean, English, Chinese, Vietnamese, Japanese, Russian, Thai, Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, Indonesian, and Persian. You can also adjust the subtitle font size.
• Join easily with a code or QR
Join using an 8-digit classroom code or an invitation QR. Students can use nicknames and do not need to turn on their microphones.
• Class continues even when the screen is locked
You can transmit or listen to audio even if the screen is locked during the class. Use the pause and resume functions to manage the session. If the app stops due to a call or changing earphone connections, you can restart it from the app.
• With an existing Open Classroom account
Teachers can log in with Google or their existing ID. Existing student accounts are also supported. You can verify your recovery email and start deleting your account in the app settings.
The app is free to install, and account availability is required for the teacher to interpret. Students join the classroom opened by the teacher. An internet connection and the use of earphones are recommended.
Once the teacher agrees to the instructions and starts interpreting, the microphone audio and transcribed content are sent to Google Gemini for translation. Since AI interpretation may contain errors, please check with the teacher regarding important details.
