About this app

CPS Test is a focused tool to measure screen tapping speed and taps per second (CPS).
Use it offline without signing up for an account or connecting to servers.

◆ Tap Measurement & Multi-touch
- Instant Start: No start button needed. Tapping the card area starts the test immediately, counting your first tap.
- Multi-touch Counting: Multiple fingers tapping together are counted as they land. Only touch-down events count.
- Tap Protection: Touch input on the result screen is paused for 1 second with a progress bar to prevent accidental clicks after rapid tapping.
- Interruption Handling: Screen stays awake during tests. Cancel anytime with the top [Stop] button or system back button.

◆ 5 Test Length Modes
- Duration Options: Select from 1s, 5s, 10s, 30s, or 60s modes.
- Default & Memory: Starts at 10s by default and remembers your last chosen mode.

◆ Results & Local Records
- Precise CPS: Displays total taps and taps per second (CPS) rounded to two decimal places.
- New Best Alert: Shows a "New best" badge and the score difference when you beat your previous record. (Omitted on your first test)
- Best by Mode: Keeps personal best scores for all 5 modes locally on device.
- Recent 50 Records: Automatically saves your last 50 tests. Older runs roll off automatically.
- Clear All History: Clear stored records anytime via a confirmation dialog.

◆ Display & Audio Settings
- Appearance: Supports System, Light, and Dark themes.
- Feedback Options: Toggle tap sound effects, vibration, and touch ripples independently. (Defaults: Sound On, Vibration Off, Ripples On)

◆ Accessibility
- TalkBack Support: Announces test start, end, and results. Prompts to double-tap when TalkBack is active.
- Text Scaling: Adapts smoothly to larger system fonts (up to 1.3x for big numbers, up to 2.0x for text).
- Reduced Motion: Respects system prefers-reduced-motion settings.

◆ Explicit Limitations
- Does not support mouse clicks or keyboard (spacebar) tests. (Mobile touchscreen only)
- Does not offer auto-clickers, macros, or automated tapping tools.
- Does not support custom durations or unlimited time modes.
- No user accounts, logins, online leaderboards, or cloud sync servers.
- Tap counts and records are never sent to external servers.

◆ Advertising & In-App Purchases
- Free to use with advertisements.
- No ads on the test screen (home) or settings screen.
- A banner ad is shown at the bottom of result and history screens, spaced at least 32dp from buttons and lists.
- Interstitial ads appear rarely when navigating after viewing results (Try again, Change mode, or Home), capped at 1 ad per 3 completed tests with a 60-second cooldown, excluding the first run session.
- No in-app purchases or paid upgrades; ad-removal purchases are not offered in this version.

◆ Data Safety & Privacy
- Records and settings stay strictly on your local device and are deleted when the app is uninstalled. (No external app servers)
- Google Mobile Ads (AdMob) SDK may collect and share encrypted (HTTPS) advertising IDs, approximate location (IP-based), device info, ad interactions, and diagnostics (e.g. crash logs) for advertising and fraud prevention.
- You can reset or delete your advertising ID and opt out of personalized ads in device settings.
- Users in the EEA and UK can adjust consent anytime via Ad privacy options in Settings.
