Local Ledger is local-first expense management software designed for users who prefer thorough security and complete control over their personal financial data. There is no registration process or cloud synchronization required; you can start keeping a fully offline ledger immediately upon download.

Key Features

1. On-device Operation and Exclusion of Internet Permissions

To ensure security, this application does not declare the 'Internet' permission.

All data within the app, including transaction details entered by the user and copied financial text messages, is stored exclusively in the device's internal local sandbox database (Room DB) and is technically impossible to transmit externally.

2. Copy-Paste-Based Local Text Parsing (Auto-Parsing)

It does not require the registration of sensitive joint certificates or the integration of separate financial open banking API accounts. Simply copy and paste payment approval texts from credit card apps, payment completion push notifications from services like Toss, KakaoPay, or banking apps into the app. The built-in local regular expression parsing engine accurately identifies the business name, expenditure amount, date, and payment method to automatically generate transaction candidates.

Final saving involves a process where the user personally reviews, modifies, and approves the details, preventing errors in entry.

3. Intuitive Budgeting and Control

You can freely set a monthly spending limit and intuitively track progress indicators that increase in proportion to your current spending rate.

The system automatically compares spending trends compared to the same period last month to support more rational spending decisions.

The Home tab clearly displays this month's total expenditure, total income, and Net Flow status.

4. Visualized Spending Statistics

It summarizes your spending patterns in an easy-to-understand chart showing the proportion of each category.

It provides an intuitive interface free from complexity and a comfortable color scheme.

5. Ownable JSON Backup and Restoration

You have complete control and ownership over all of your ledger data. By pressing the backup button, you can export your entire ledger as a standard JSON file for secure ownership and restore it immediately if needed.
