About this app

Observe your posture and review your study.

Place your smartphone on a desk and select the front or rear camera so that your face is visible. Adjust your usual reading posture and begin studying. Along with the camera screen, you can check your focused, unfocused, and unmeasurable status using colors and text.

If your eyes are closed, there is a significant change in posture, or your face is absent for a certain period, a silent video of that segment is saved to the device. After finishing your study, check the total time and the focused, unfocused, or unmeasurable times, and then play the saved video or delete the record.

- Recording is done without a microphone, and the app does not generate recording notification sounds or vibrations.

- In the Sound Mode settings, you can choose between "Depend on device settings" (default, does not change sound settings), "Mute," "Vibration," and "Sound." If you select "Mute," "Vibration," or "Sound," the app will switch to that mode when you open it or start studying.

- If you enable "Prevent Screen Off," the screen will not turn off while viewing the app or using other apps during study.

- Select Korean, English, Chinese, Japanese, Vietnamese, Hindi, or French in the app settings. - Face videos and analysis results are processed on the device and are not transmitted to the cloud. Saved videos can be deleted one by one or shared only with apps of your choice after verification. Please check the app settings and privacy policy for information on the ML Kit SDK's diagnostic data processing.

- Once a session begins, observation and silent recording continue until paused or finished, even if you switch to another app or lock the screen; progress notifications display the status.

- You can manually turn the optional 20kHz high-frequency acoustic experiment on and off during a session. The default setting is off, and its mosquito repellent effect has not been proven. It plays for up to 60 seconds only on speakers reporting support; please check the instructions as it may be audible to those nearby. It automatically turns off upon pausing, leaving the screen, or ending a session, and does not continuously add audio to the video.

Focus On is a learning aid that observes your eyes and posture. It does not diagnose actual concentration or sleep status, and measurements may be unmeasurable or inaccurate estimates may occur depending on lighting, glasses, and camera angles. Use it to record your own study sessions.

Camera permissions are used for preview, analysis, and recording; notification permissions are for learning progress alerts; and access to notification policies is used for switching sound modes selected by the user. Login, microphone, and location permissions are not required.

What’s new

Opening the app no longer forces your phone into silent mode. In Settings > Sound mode, choose Follow device setting (default, leaves your sound setting untouched), Silent, Vibrate or Sound. Silent, Vibrate or Sound switches your phone to that mode when you open the app and when a study starts or resumes. If silent mode needs a permission, the app explains it, but you can still start studying without it. Finish any required update at launch first.
