The Food Recall Scanner is an app that utilizes recall and sales suspension information from the Korea Food Safety Agency to allow you to immediately check if a product is subject to a recall by taking a picture of a food label or scanning a barcode with your camera.
Key Features:
▶ Camera Scan
When you take a picture of a product packaging or label with your camera, OCR (Optical Character Recognition) technology automatically recognizes the text to verify if the product is subject to a recall. It displays the results along with a matching confidence level (High/Medium/Low).
▶ Barcode Scan
Scan the product's barcode to quickly verify product information and compare it with the recall database.
▶ Text Search
You can search for recalled products by directly entering the product name or manufacturer name. You can check recall information even if the product is missing or the packaging is damaged.
▶ Automatic Synchronization
The app automatically updates the latest recall data once a day. Even without an internet connection, you can check recall status using the last synchronized data.
▶ Scan History Management
You can save and view the history of products you have previously scanned.
▶ Recall Notification
You will be notified if a previously scanned product is newly designated as subject to a recall.
