About this app

* What about customized self-assessment of academic achievement?
⦁ Customized self-assessment of academic achievement is a new computer-based assessment designed to diagnose student growth and provide customized information. Unlike existing national academic achievement assessments that are conducted by selecting only a select number of students, this is an evaluation system that allows desired schools to voluntarily participate at any time during the implementation schedule and quickly receive feedback on students' level of achievement.

* Evaluation purpose
⦁ The purpose is to support the holistic growth of individual students by providing not only cognitive evaluation results such as achievement level for each subject, but also evaluation results for non-cognitive characteristics such as social and emotional capabilities.

*Evaluation subject and evaluation scope
⦁ Evaluation Subjects: Elementary and middle schools provide achievement evaluation tools for five subjects: Korean, mathematics, English, social studies, and science; high schools provide achievement evaluation tools for three subjects: Korean, mathematics, and English.
⦁ Evaluation time: Considering the school and class hours, the evaluation tool was designed to conduct evaluations for each subject for 40 minutes for elementary schools, 45 minutes for middle schools, and 50 minutes for high schools.
⦁ Number of questions: Considering the school level and subject characteristics, one test consists of 20 to 26 questions.
⦁ Evaluation scope and implementation period
- Scope of evaluation: All previous school years
- Implementation period: Mid-February to late April

* Providing and utilizing evaluation results
⦁ Evaluation results for each student can be checked through the self-assessment site after the evaluation. Individual students are provided with personalized details about the assessments they have chosen to participate in.
⦁ Since self-assessment is conducted from mid-February to April when the new semester begins, the evaluation results can be used for the purpose of diagnosing academic achievement in the previous school year.
*Characteristics of computer-based assessment
⦁ Computer-based evaluation more realistically reproduces problems that occur in real life and the environment surrounding them, thereby evaluating achievement standards and subject competencies that were difficult to measure with traditional paper-based evaluations.
You can.
- You can present video or audio material, or construct questions that include materials that allow students to conduct simulations by manipulating tools.
- It is possible to implement various contexts containing problem situations, making it easy to evaluate the competencies emphasized in the curriculum.
⦁ By utilizing multimedia materials and including interactive features, you can increase students’ motivation to participate in the evaluation.
- In the process of solving problems that include videos, animations, and simulation experiments that students can directly manipulate, students become interested in and enthusiastically participate in the evaluation itself.
⦁ The efficiency of implementation is greatly increased through computer-based assessment implementation, automatic scoring, and data storage and management.
- Compared to paper-based assessments, you can save the time and cost required for printing, distributing, and grading test sheets, and can minimize various errors that may occur during the process of scanning and entering answers.
- Using automatic scoring technology, you can quickly check evaluation results online.
* How to implement and participate in customized self-assessment of academic achievement
⦁ Self-assessment is conducted every year from mid-February to April.
⦁ You can apply as a school or class, and can autonomously select participating subjects and survey areas of defining characteristics.
⦁ Schools that wish to participate in the evaluation must select one day during the evaluation period as the evaluation implementation date, taking into account the academic schedule, and then apply for the evaluation at least two weeks before the implementation date. (You can apply once)
⦁ Students participate in classes at school under the guidance of teachers and can participate in the evaluation using computers, laptops, tablets, etc.
