About this game

THE LONG WALK — an endurance game played on foot, in the real world

A hundred start. One remains. Join a walk, start at the same moment as everyone else, and keep moving above the minimum pace. There is no finish line: the walk goes on until only one walker is left — and that walker wins.

The Long Walk turns walking into a live multiplayer contest of stamina and will. This is a walking game — not running.

HOW IT WORKS
- Join a walk someone else is hosting, or create your own.
- Everyone starts together. No stops, no warm-up — the pace counts from the first second.
- The server checks your average speed over the last 30 seconds, so one slow stretch is always recoverable.
- Drop below the minimum and you get a warning — and another every 30 seconds you stay below it.
- One hour of clean walking gives one warning back. The fourth warning ends your walk.
- A long loss of GPS or connection ends the walk too: movement that can't be proven doesn't count.
- Outlast the field. The last one walking wins.

TWO KINDS OF WALK
- Assembled — meet in one place and walk together, along a route the host drew if they drew one.
- Distributed — everyone walks at the same appointed time, each in their own place, under the same rules.

TRAINING
Walk solo in Training and try your pace with nothing at stake.

SPECTATE
Not walking today? Follow a live walk on the map. Privacy comes first: a spectator sees only the walkers who approved them personally, and walkers are shown by number, not by name.

VOICE ON THE MOVE
Talk to the other walkers while you walk — social glue for the long hours. The host can switch voice off for a walk, and moderation controls are built in.

RATING — HONESTLY EARNED
Competitive walks build your rating: how many you finished, how long you lasted, how often you won. It is kept separately for assembled and distributed walks. The server recomputes distance and speed from your real movement, results are checked afterwards, and a result that fails the check is taken back out.

SAFETY IS BUILT IN
- Exit safely at any moment with one tap — leaving is never penalized.
- Every walk has a hard duration cap, and there is a ceiling on how much you may walk in any 24 hours that nothing lifts: not money, not a subscription, not an ad.
- Hydration reminders and audio cues, so you're not staring at your screen by the road.
- No ads while you walk.

FAIR BY DESIGN
The whole game is free: joining walks, winning them and climbing the rating never cost anything. Optional paid tiers buy scale and freedom of setup — hosting more often, bigger walks, your own pace and routes — never an advantage in a walk. Pay for scope, never for the win.

18+ only. The Long Walk involves real physical exertion and location sharing. At sign-up you confirm you're an adult and go through a short physical-readiness check. This is a game, not a training programme, and nothing here is medical advice — walk within your limits and stop if you feel unwell.

Hold the pace. Be the last one walking.
Walk. Keep the pace. Outlast everyone. The last one still walking wins.
