I opened my tool today to discover it has been auto updated and all my photos are gone. No warning of the pending update or anything like that, just 6700+ photos gone. REALLY!!! This is how you win people over??? As you can guess, I'm not happy at all. I've used this app between 8 - 10yrs. This is the second time my photos have been deleted. Time to find another photo backup

I didn't like the new update, added things that were not useful, and I don't like the "recent uploads" and "photo tool" albums that appeared from nowhere, I would like to get rid of them. Not happy at all, but still better than Google Photos, the best of this app was its simplicity and you are starting to add more and more useless features and without the option to disable them.

I have to add 'recent upload' and 'photo tool' album for other users. You can delete 'photo tool' folder on desktop, and you can also use 'favorite' to filter them out. Maybe I should add an option for you to filter out some albums you want. Any suggestion is welcome that can make you happy. Thanks.

Not sure why this option is not already in Google Photos, but the ability to sync offline Google Photos Album on the phone (an album fed by different people for example) is awesome to be able to use them locally on the phone (edits, 3-rd party apps...). On trick: the Album must not be shared (in Google Photos) for Tool to find it. Once found, the album can be shared, it remains visible.
