The Love Attitudes Scale (LAS) categorises people’s approaches to love into six styles: erotic love (Eros), playful love (Ludus), companionate love (Storge), utilitarian love (Pragma), obsessive love (Mania) and selfless love (Agape). The LAS does not aim to rank or diagnose love, but rather to make those hidden 'love scripts' clearly visible. This enables people to become aware of their habits when it comes to pursuing intimacy, avoiding commitment or self-sacrifice, and to understand the unique logic and fears behind each attitude. Ultimately, it allows individuals to transform their unconscious love patterns into relational competence that can be recognised, chosen and reshaped.
The Love Attitudes Scale (LAS) shows what you don't know about love.
