About this app

LightRide is a carpooling app created by a group of transportation experts to make offering or requesting rides extremely attractive, especially on a daily and local level. The goal is to reduce mobility costs, make it easier for those without a car to get around, and eliminate traffic congestion.

The app is free and you can download and use it freely. Once you've downloaded the app, we recommend asking your university or employer to contact us and provide you with a "certified" subscription. This way, other users will know you're a reliable user and will respond to your ads even if you don't yet have positive reviews.

Alternatively, or additionally, you can ask your friends if anyone has been "invited" by us, the app's founders, because they're considered trustworthy. Those invited can then choose 10 people to invite.

A new feature of LightRide is that you can let your passengers and drivers know about your favorite charitable organization, and you can choose to have the money donated to them. Many well-known organizations already work with us for this purpose.
