Watch a video, listen to a podcast or follow a livestream in another language, and read what is said as floating captions in yours.

lingua.direct captures the audio that other apps play on your phone and turns it into live translated captions on top of whatever you are watching. Powered by the same translation engine as lingua.direct on the web.

HOW IT WORKS
1. Pick the language they speak and the language you read
2. Start captions and switch to YouTube, a podcast app, social video or any other app
3. Spoken sentences appear as captions, translated within seconds

WHAT MAKES IT DIFFERENT
- 100+ caption languages, including regional variants such as Egyptian and Moroccan Arabic and Cantonese
- Works on top of any app that plays audio (apps that block audio capture, such as some streaming services, excepted)
- The floating caption bar shows the original line and the translation, can be moved, and keeps a scrollable history of the session
- Nothing on your screen is recorded: only the audio is used, and it is processed for translation only
