About this app

This app is a simple tool for getting your position using a sextant and an accurate clock, a.k.a. celestial navigation. It works without an internet connection. Using a solar-powered battery, you can use this for navigation in very remote places or on the ocean.

You can integrate it with a NMEA 0183-capable marine plotter.

It is 100% based on open source, and can be used for learning about astronomy and practicing celestial navigation. It comes with no warranty or liability (MIT License).

Documentation is bundled with the app, and you can also find it here: https://github.com/alinnman/celestial-navigation/blob/main/APPDOC.md

More information can be found here: https://github.com/alinnman/celestial-navigation/blob/main/README.md
