Take control of your finances with Genie, the convenient and secure mobile app from Dialog Axiata PLC the leading Telco in Sri Lanka with a 70% market share in the Colombo stock exchange, licensed and regulated by the Telecommunications Regulation Commission of Sri Lanka (www.trc.gov.lk). Savings, Fixed deposits, Payments & Lending products on the Genie App are provided by Dialog Finance PLC a subsidiary of Dialog Axiata PLC. Dialog Finance PLC is a public quoted entity, which is a financial institution licensed (https://bit.ly/DF-CBSL-License) and regulated by the Central Bank of Sri Lanka (www.CBSL.gov.lk) under act No. 42 of 2011. And Dialog Finance PLC carries the Fitch rate AA(LKA).

• Invest for your future: Create goal-based savings accounts and fixed deposits, invest in stocks or mutual funds, and manage your portfolio conveniently.
• Pay bills easily: Pay over 90+ billers quickly and securely in one go.
• Manage your eZ Cash wallet: Send and receive money, top up your wallet, and access various mobile money transactions.
• Common to all loan products facilitate on genie:
Term of the Loan: From 90 days (3 months) to 5 years
Annual Percentage Rate (APR) / Interest Rate: Quick Loan/Lesi Pay: from a Minimum 25% p.a to a Maximum of 49% p.a (based on Sri Lanka’s market rate, cost of deposits, customer’s risk profile, collateral & term of product). Loan against Fixed deposits: Fixed Deposit Rate + 2.5% p.a
Processing Fee: One-off fee ranges from 0.5% to 5% based on the loan type.
Sample Calculation: All loans are calculated using the standard Equal Monthly Installment calculation method.

Loan Tenor - 180 days
Loan interest rate - 25% p.a
Monthly Installment payment - LKR 8,951.41
Total cost of the loan is LKR 56,208.00 made of LKR 50,000 (Principal) + LKR 3,708.46 (Total interest payment) + LKR 2,500 (Processing Fee at 5%)

Worst payment tool I have ever used. Because when I'm going to make an immediate transaction, it always says to update the app. There's no option to skip it and do my urgent payments. Whether the update is good or bad, we have to install it. Dialog is the worst mobile app developer in Sri Lanka. No load balancing at all; it consumes the whole RAM, processor, and GPU while running the app.

Overall.. One of the best payment apps in sri lanka. This actually stand within the top #2 payment apps out there... I really how well this app is being managed, very few & few bugs. Please add a feature to show saved receptions bank logo and to show case their full information once saved. Much love 😘.

Removing the app after a worst experience where I had wasted my energy and time to revert the pending payment which I made via Genie. I'll leave the amount as a donation for them. Note: I'm giving this review after wasting 45 days by contacting customer care 5 times via call and 2 times via mail to resolve the issue.
