The EFSE 20‑Year Anniversary Conference brings together regional financial institutions, entrepreneurs, investors, policymakers, and development partners to reflect on two decades of financing micro, small, and medium‑sized enterprises across Southeast Europe and the EU Neighbourhood. Taking place in Mostar on 15–16 September 2026, the conference marks EFSE’s 20‑year track record as a long‑term impact investment fund working closely with local partners on fostering inclusive growth and enhancing long‑term competitiveness and sustainability The conference will provide a space for open exchange between those who provide capital and those who use it in practice, banks, entrepreneurs, investors, and public stakeholders, at a time of economic uncertainty and geopolitical pressure.

- responding to ongoing economic volatility and external shocks
- mobilizing capital at scale to support MSME development,
- financing food security and sustainable agriculture
- strengthening women’s participation in entrepreneurship and finance

The conference combines keynote reflections, panel discussions, and focused thematic sessions, allowing for exchange across regional, investor, and policy perspectives. Hosted in Mostar, a city shaped by resilience, the conference offers a setting to reflect on experience gained and to discuss priorities for EFSE’s next phase, continued regional development, and European integration.
