They say every star in the sky was once small and just learning to shine. This five-petaled one is still at the very beginning of its road. Petals of light drift slowly around it: gather them, and the star burns brighter, its radiance turning into points. But hunters circle in the dark as well, and their touch takes a heart away. One thumb steers the flight, one button hurls the star into a sudden dash, and every night endured in the gloom is a small feat in itself.
The star's road runs through distant constellations. First it is taught simply to fly, then to trust its own light, and with each new constellation the sky grows deeper and the path longer. For those who do not wish to stop, the sky offers trials without end: a flight that lasts as long as the nerves hold, and meetings with hunters arriving in ordered swarms.
Kindled light does not vanish — it becomes strength. The star learns to fly faster, to pull petals from afar and to withstand the touch of darkness. There will not be enough strength for everything at once, so each traveler chooses what their star becomes.
At the end of the road a log awaits it: every finished journey lights a star within and opens a short story about the real sky — why stars twinkle, where meteors come from and what the northern lights are. Walk the whole road, and the little star will become the very one by which others set their course.
