About this app
With the help of Lungappen © you can learn more about listening to the lungs and heart. The app is intended for all who want to deepen their knowledge in this area. A certain basic knowledge is required to benefit from the app.
Lungappen © currently includes 20 patient cases and all have different symptoms from the lungs, which are outlined in an accompanying medical history. Each patient has three different sound recordings from each lung which means that you can listen to both the lungs and the entire respiratory field. Overall, nearly 120 recordings
The opportunity to quietly listen as long as you want, increasing the chances that you will learn what it is you hear when you then hit a patient.
For you to get as much as possible of the sounds in the app, it is important that you use the headphones and sit as undisturbed as possible. Note that it may take several listens before you understand all the details of the sound image.
The app is quality assured by the former Ambulance Chief Rolf Smith, economist at Skaraborg Hospital, and approved to be used for educational purposes for ambulance staff in this region.
The patients are divided according to the type of pathology terms:
1 Heart Failure
2 Pneumonia
3 Obstructive Pulmonary Disease
4 Other sound from the lungs
Concepts that you need to be familiar with when using the Lungappen © is, polyphonic, sonorous and sibilanta rhonki, wheezing, crackles, krepitationer, pneumonia infiltrates, obstruction, pneumothorax, cardiac failure, lung sounds, vesicular breath sounds, bronchial breath sounds, stridor, asthma , pleural gnidningsljud, pulmonary fibrosis, liquid plurality, COPD mm.
The app will be updated with new sounds when I find a few that I think adds something.
All sounds are recorded with a Littmann Electronic Stethoscope Model 3200 with Bluetooth
