About this app

vedu takes children to school and back with carefully vetted drivers - and doesn't call a ride
finished until you know your child arrived.

WHY VEDU IS DIFFERENT

A ride only ends when you say it did. Every trip finishes at a confirmation gate: the driver cannot
close it, and the fare is not charged, until the drop-off is confirmed - by your tap, by a code you
read to the driver, by a short handover video, or by your child's own device arriving at the
destination. If nothing confirms, the ride stays open and our team looks at it.

FOR PARENTS

• Book now or schedule the school run in advance
• Watch the ride live on the map, with the driver's name, car and number plate
• See inside the car - a mounted camera runs the whole ride, and you can look in at any time
• Get told when the driver is arriving, when your child is aboard, and when they've arrived
• Confirm the drop-off with one tap, from a notification if you like
• Add trusted contacts who are alerted if you raise SOS
• Say who is allowed to collect your child - the ride will not close for anyone else
• Cashless only. The card is authorised at booking and charged when the child is safe

FOR EVERY DRIVER

Drivers apply, submit a criminal-record certificate, and complete a recorded safety assessment
reviewed by a person. Every driver operates as a licensed carrier and mounts a second phone in the
car as an in-cabin camera - a driver cannot go on duty without it running.

WHAT IT COSTS

Fares start at €5.00 plus €0.70 per minute and €0.30 per kilometre. The full price is shown before
you confirm - there is no surge and no hidden fee. Waiting is free for the first minutes; anything
charged after that is shown on screen while it runs.

PRIVACY

vedu is built and run by SIA VEDU in Latvia; ride data is stored in the EU. Cabin video and audio
are used for safety, kept briefly, and never sold. You can delete your account and its data from
the app.
